| Download Mystical Encounter with Laura (2:23) |
|
It is nearly sunset when Morgan awakens. The smell of the stew draws his attention and he sees Laura, alone, quietly stirring the stew pot. She does not see him rise nor does she hear him approach her, so when he touches her, she whirls to face him, still holding the stirring spoon. Their eyes lock as the lyrics to the song begin and on the word magnetized, she melts into his arms and they kiss. Laura stops long enough to abandon her stirring spoon, and then they take up where they left off. They keep at that sort of thing, disrobing each other, as they make their way, between kisses, toward the sofa, but when they get to the sofa, Laura rolls over the back and when Morgan tries to follow her, he slips off onto the floor. As the nightmare of frustration gallops away in the soundtracks, Morgan finds himself clinging to the crushed loaf of "lady" bread. This is another instance of a song being arranged to play as progam music, complete with musical effects. It's quite different from playing a pop tune as background music. The lyrics are specific to the action on-screen, like musicals of old, but it is also different from the old musicals, in that neither character actually sings the song on-screen. It works quite well, here, I think, but the way I use it later will put your hair on end!I'm drawn to you. You're drawn to me Travis Edward
